What is Investors in People? In short, Investors in People is all about business improvement. It works by helping you to identify your business priorities and focus on how your approach to the management and development of your people achieves improved business performance.

What are the benefits? Effective managers and engaged employees, whose skills and capabilities are developed and utilised within the business, leading to enhanced performance - and profitability.

What is required? Commitment from top management is essential. Certain businesses can also qualify for grant assistance toward becoming an Investor in People.

In addition, we are licensed to provide training on behalf of Investors in People to organisations who want to learn more about how the Standard can be utilised and implemented to achieve business improvement.

And we don't stop there! Our team is fully committed to the principles of Investors in People – in 2005 we were the first organisation worldwide to achieve recognition against the revised Standard. Our clients can be confident that we ‘practice what we preach.’

During 2007 & 2008, we ran several highly successful programmes to assist businesses on their journey to Investors in People recognition. The programmes followed a 'group' approach, which involves the Owners and Senior Managers from a number of participating organisations attending a series of workshops focused on different aspects of achieving business improvement through people. Each participating organisation also receives one-to-one consultancy support from our registered Investors in People Advisers. In many cases, grant funding is available for eligible businesses participating in group programmes.

We are delighted with the success our clients in the Dentistry sector have achieved. To date, sixteen dental practices have been recognised as Investors in People through Jenkinson Consulting Group Programmes, and each are able to report business improvements as a result.
